You Have a Dream? Just Don't Listen.
First they will not listen.
Then they will not believe you do it.
Then they will say it is silly.
Then they will say it is impossible.
Then they will say it is irresponsible.
Then they will say you should do it differently.
Then they will actively try to hold you back.
They will say that you might get sick or injured or robbed.
Then they might even threaten you that you can't come back.
Then they see you do it.
In my case: they saw me ride a 1979 Vespa across 32 countries. Then around the world in 80 days. Then 6,300 km in a suit and tie on a 50cc scooter raising €88,000 for children with cancer. Every single time, the same sequence. Every single time.
Then they read about you in the news and see you on TV and hear about you on the radio.
Then they say they would have done it if they just had the time and the money and the freedom and no responsibilities and they would have wanted to.
And one day they will say: I know that guy. Cool right. He followed his dream.
You have a dream?
Just do not listen.
Do your shit. Get your ass off the couch and start preparing. Stop dreaming and start doing. Do not let people stop you — their agenda is not yours.
One life. One shot to make it a story worth telling.
