This was the quickest Vespa Photo Shot of my life!

During my first big Vespa tour through all of Europe, I also visited Paris of course. I took some nice pictures next to the Eiffel Tower and then I rode over to the Louvre! I rode my Scooter to this famous spot exactly next to the famous pyramid and had about 20 seconds. Then heavily armed guards from both sides stormed with angry faces toward my position. I did not have it on the radar, that due to security concerns after 9/11 and other terrorist attacks they had altered the security level for the Louvre as well. They were probably afraid that the guy with the dark skin from all his kilometers on his beloved scooter and the big box full of dirty laundry on the back of his Vespa carries a bomb to the Louvre…

So yes that was definitely the fastest Vespa Photo shot of my life !

So I jumped off the Scooter, aimed, and shot! All happened within 20 seconds max! Because I saw them swearing and screaming after me in french, while I raced away I did not feel the urge to stop and have a conversation with the guards. I quickly swerved into fast traffic and towards Arc de Triumph for another life-risking photo op. They say it is the most dangerous roundabout in the world :-D! So I went to its side and had a look and it was actually pretty crazy there, but then I saw a group of 6 motorcycle police officers racing straight through like a warm knife through butter and I understood how it works. Just don´t look left or right and let traffic flow around you. And so I did! I jumped on my Vespa and Braaaap!
I can say that was quite an experience but nothing compared to entering Istanbul during my world tour with my Bajaj over a busy highway! That was really scary!

Living the dream! No risk – no fun!

I usually don´t spend much time doing tourist stuff during my travels. I enjoy it way more to sit in a bar and talk to strangers about how they live and what they think of the world. This is how I learn about the world and life!
So I left Paris rather quickly – all the other sights were part of another holiday visit already.

P.s.: And here one of my coolest Pictures from Paris 😉
