Day 1 Vespa Gentleman Giro !

Yesterday we had a nice evening with the Vespisti Böblingen, the Team of Alvivo, and my dear Martina Gödert with good food in the boathouse Böblingen. After a good night’s sleep in the hotel, we had a wonderful start event organized at the headquarters of Alvivo. In bright sunshine, we enjoyed cafe from the Ape, grilled Sausage served by some volleyball players, good music, and all in a great mood.
First 1100€ Donations in the Pot!
We did the Fundraising on the spot via patch and sticker sales. This and some other donations brought 500€ for the kids. A very nice start!Then I was accompanied by a pack of great people on their Vespas a long part of my way towards “Freiburg im Breisgau” where the VC Freiburg and the Rollerfreunde Südbaden at the Braukollektiv were waiting for me. The weather had changed drastically and shortly before I reached Freiburg I had to change into rain gear on the terrace of the restaurant Hex in Waldkirch. The owner of the bar insisted to give me 20 € for fuel when he heard what I was put to. Upon my arrival in Freiburg, we had another patch and sticker sale as well as grilled Sausages and they generously rounded up the donation to another 600€ in the pot
At 2:30 in the night, I could fall asleep happy with an amazing result of more than 1100 € on the first day. A Great start to my Vespa Gentleman Giro !
This was just day one of more than 60 that should follow on my Vespa V50n from 1971.
